The Friendswood Junior High Band is one of the largest organizations on campus with over 250 students enrolled in the band in grades 6th through 8th grade.  The FJH Band has been named “Best in Class” and “Most Outstanding Group” at various performance festivals and continues to receive the highest ratings in UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contests.

 

Members of the Friendswood Band are regularly selected as members of the Region 17 All-Region Band, and selected as Outstanding Soloists and Outstanding Musicians at FISD Solo & Ensemble Contests.

 

Students in the Friendswood JH Band enjoy a feeling of community and friendship while working together to develop skills and achieve common goals that they will carry with them for a lifetime!  After 8th grade, students in the FJH Band students advance to the award-winning and nationally recognized Friendswood High School Band!
